1. Privacy Policy.

1.1 CompuCom’s Privacy Policy is part of and is incorporated into the Agreement between you and CompuCom. Please read the Privacy Policy carefully as these terms cover CompuCom’s commitment to protect your information and contains very important information about your rights and obligations, as well as limitations and exclusions that may apply to you. These terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice at any time, in CompuCom's sole discretion.

1.2 CompuCom is committed to protecting your privacy and has designed our webportal so you may visit them without revealing any personal information. When you choose to provide personal information to us, please know that we take your privacy seriously. The information we collect is gathered to provide a more personalized shopping experience and to support your business needs. You can help us ensure your privacy by not sharing your user name or password with anyone. See below for detailed information about how we protect your personal information. The intent of this Privacy Policy is to make you aware of the choices you can make regarding the information you provide to CompuCom and to inform you of our security practices.

2. Definitions.

2.1 “Agreement” shall collectively mean the following documents: Webportal Terms and Conditions, Terms of Use, Terms of Sale, General Return Policy, and Privacy Policy.

2.2 “Privacy Policy” shall mean the terms covering CompuCom’s commitment to protect your information.

2.3 “Product” shall mean (i) computer hardware products manufactured by third parties, (ii) computer software products supplied by third parties, and (iii) third party computer hardware/software services (collectively, the “Products”).

2.4 “Services” shall mean your purchase of certain CompuCom information technology services.
3. What information do we collect?

3.1 We collect information needed for personalizing your experience and tailoring the information displayed to your business needs. We also collect non-personal information regarding how our webportal is used so we can continually enhance our service and your experience. The manner in which you access our webportal determines the amount of personal information that you share. There are different methods to access our webportal:

3.1.1 You may visit our webportal as a guest. A guest is not required to give any personal information. They are allowed access to view static, non-client specific content.

3.1.2 A guest may register and request an account. When registering, you are asked for your name, workplace email address and work phone number. If your company has not purchased Products or Services from CompuCom in the past, a CompuCom associate will contact you to discuss your business needs to establish the webportal details and personalized content requirements.

3.1.3 As a client of CompuCom, we can personalize the webportal for your business needs. No other personal information is required. Only the business information that you choose to share with your account manager so the webportal can reflect your business’ preferences and present a more relevant shopping experience. At times you may receive Product and Service promotions, specials, and newsletters. If you prefer not to receive those, you can opt out by selecting the option on your personal profile. For those of you issuing online orders, we require only the personal information that is needed for safely processing your order and for contacting you about your transactions. It is used exclusively for that purpose.

3.2 Other information collected is non-personal and is intended to assist CompuCom to focus our efforts in improving the webportal’s usability and the available features. Types of non-personal information we collect:

3.2.1 IP address. We use IP addresses to measure our webportal traffic and to help provide a relevant shopping experience. Your IP address is not linked to your customer information.

3.2.2 Referral webportal. If you come to our webportal via a link, the location of the referral is captured. This is used to help us know where our users come from.

3.2.3 Browser type. This information is captured to help us optimize our webportal to match the latest technology used by our clients.

3.2.4 Movements through our webportal. We keep track of pages you visit to help us provide a more personalized and relevant shopping experience.

4. How do we protect your personal information?

In addition, access to your personal information is restricted within our company to provide maximum security.

5. Who can see your account information?

Only authorized programming personnel at CompuCom are permitted to see your password. Your account manager is not permitted to see your password. You can save a password hint to help you remember or you can request a new one be created and emailed to you. Only authorized sales, customer service and accounting personnel are permitted access to your account information.

6. What about cookies?

We use cookies as a way to give you better service. They personalize your shopping experience and they help identify you. You will need to set your browser to accept cookies if you wish to add items to a shopping cart. Information collected or stored via cookies is kept in a secured area within CompuCom.

7. What about e-mail?

When you request a quotation or purchase online from CompuCom, we may send you an e-mail to confirm your quote or order. You may choose to send copies as well. Part of the webportal personalization for your company may be to email quotations to identified person(s).

8. Laws and Regulations.

To protect you, access to and use of this webportal is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. CompuCom reserves the right to seek all remedies available at law and in equity for violations of these rules, and applicable regulations and laws, including the right to block access from a particular Internet address to this webportal.

9. Customer satisfaction.

CompuCom is committed to providing you with a world-class experience. In order to measure how well we are doing and to better understand how we can continually improve our Product and Service offerings and our ability to meet your unique requirements, from time-to-time we may contact you by phone or e-mail and solicit your participation in research. Your participation is voluntary and you may request to remove yourself from future efforts of this kind. Please note that your account manager may occasionally send you promotional, Product or Service information. In addition, CompuCom may, on occasion, send you updates on important information about our company. If you do not wish to receive such e-mails, simply let your account manager know.

10. CompuCom’s Liability.

In no event will CompuCom or any of its affiliates, or any of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents or contractors (together “CompuCom”), ever be liable to you for any special, consequential, exemplary, incidental or indirect damages (including, but not limited to, loss of profits, revenues, data and/or use) arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, even if advised of the possibility thereof. CompuCom’s entire liability for any claim arising from breach of this Privacy Policy shall not exceed $10,000.00 and you hereby release CompuCom from any liability in excess of such limited amount. This limitation will apply, regardless of the form of action, whether in contract or tort, including negligence.
